Ed Sheeran Advert.

In this advert Ed Sheeran is embracing his image by quoting "I'M BRINGING GINGER BACK" which implys to us that he is happy with who he is and is trying to create an exclusive image by saying this. "GINGER" is in red to imply he's coming back with a lot of power, the red also links back to ginger but if if it was written in orange it wouldn't quite create as much emphasis as red does. Key convention, the acoustic guitar is included in the bottom right hand corner of the shot which is a key connection to the fans and fulfilling their expectations as they all expect to the inclusion of an acoustic guitar.

The Ralph Lauren hoodie is showing us that he does sometimes spend a lot of clothes and does care about the clothes he wears and the messages they portray to the audience. This isn't a normal hoodie an indie acoustic artists would wear but he's making himself slightly different, trying to get fans to follow this brand as its very well known, part of his star image.

The capital that is shown as a flag coming off the top of parliament 'Ed Sheeran: Has given up busking to look at skirt instead' this is saying to us that he is a bit of boy and now coming out of his long relationship with his last girlfriend he wants to get around a bit. This isn't really sticking to the genre as that sort of saying would appeal to a more mainstream audience but that is where he is heading.
He is up up against a small wall with the houses of parliament and big ben in the background, this is basically saying I come from England and showing off key icons that people relate to when thinking of England. This is to get people to know exactly where he is without having to put a caption in. His sight lines are making him look like he's checking out girls as they walk past which relations to the caption up high. He has a cheeky grin on his face which means he has pleasant thoughts about the girls that walk past.

Messy hair, jeans this is very conventional as you would see most indie acoustic artists dress themselves like this. He's sticking to the genre nicely here. This picture is quite grainy as all indie acoustic fans like quite distorted pictures as lots of them are heavily into photography so but incorporating this its giving the audience that notice this a little bit extra and to the fans that don't noticed why this is done it doesn't both them, they just think it looks good.
