Explain the methods you used to attract your audience in your AS coursework?

In our As coursework we made some very good but also some very bad decisions when it came to creating our 2 minutes entry to our thriller film. The Camera angles we used worked well with the image we were trying to portray but I think we could have made the shots blend from one to another in a better way as some of it was particularly jumpy which we weren't that pleased with. We heavily edited our work to draw in deeper and darker effects at the end of our clip to make it more like an actual thriller as many thrillers have odd bits to them which we tried to include by editing the last bit of our clip so much. Which I think would have gained some audience appeal by doing this.

The Mise-En-Scene turned out to look good as i think we used the right props, costumes etc, but when it came to the man be threatened and beaten up by the youths i think we should have made them looks a bit more brutal as ours wasn't hard hitting enough in my view which i think if we improved that the audience would have enjoyed our clip more. Sound wise i think we preformed badly in that department as we didn't have enough abusive language said like todays youths would have. We needed it louder, clearer and more dialogue used.

Our audience wanted a brutal opening of a man being attacked by youths and going after them in the future, we gave them part of that but we needed to make it more brutal as teenagers today would have made the assault much worse. We made this choice because we didn't know exactly how brutal we could make it so we decided to play it safe and make it appear worse than it was.
